I am 23 years old and have been living with bipolar since I was 17. It has been hell but I am still here and thank god that I am . I think we are truly heroes to still be here on the planet and living with this condition at the same time because like you said it is truly hell sometimes. But i believe deep in my heart that there is a reason for why we suffer and it is because we are the strongest ones to be able to handle such pain .the world needs the strong now more then ever.. thanks xox

My girlfriend has bipolar. I try my best to understand what she is going through, but i know i cant because i never will. I want to be there for her every step through it even if we breakup. Too many people are leaving her life and i dont want to be one. I will always stand by her side, but i need help. Can anyone with bipolar give me tips on how to help her through her struggles? Any advice will gladly be taken. We are both strong christians, her name is mary, please keep her in your prayers a

It becomes a severe pain in the ass when you can't tell some of your best friends you have bipolar. Because when you're in a manic state and do stupid crap and then try to explain then they just think your crazy. Not fun stuff at all.
Why keep trying? Why doesn't He just take it away from us? I Have asked and then begged and Jesus has yet to save me! Why?

@RISEAGAINSTWTF I asked this for many years myself God finally gave me an answer in two ways last year and the first of this year. The first answer was that He pointed out about the truth about suffering because of what happen in the garden of Eden we now live in the fallen state thus suffering is part of that falling state. Secondly He answered me with a question "If my Son who had no sin had to suffer in this life are you an better than Him?" it is something I had to realize (cont.)

@RISEAGAINSTWTF 2nd response .. another thing that God had to show me was through the words of my doctor. My doctor shared the story of a big lazy dog and a small fiesty dog. The lazy dog just laid there but the fiesty small dog just kept pestering the big dog finally the big lazy dog had enough and grabbed the small dog around the throat not to kill him but to get him to stop. As long as the small dog kept fighting the big tightened his grip but as soon as the small dog quit fighting the ..

@RISEAGAINSTWTF This is the third comment continued from the second ...
the big dog let the small dog go my doctor said that the big dog was life and the small dog was us .. in other words sometimes we are fighting the wrong battle this is just part of life we must accept it and move on but until we accept it then we can't move on! What you have is no different from any other who may suffer with health issues however how you choose to deal with it makes the difference!

@RISEAGAINSTWTF this does not mean that God abandons us instead he is with us and as the Lord told Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9 "My grace is sufficient for through your weakness is my strength made known" God does heal but according to his will. He has not removed the bipolar from me but he has healed me where it counts because now I can face this that I have and I share my life story with others in hope to help them and encourage them.
