the 04-06 maxima has 265 hp and around 255 lb-ft of torque, the altima SER has 260 and tourqe is a bit less as well. However, the maxima is heavier than the altima, so i hope that helps...

I have a 2004 Maxima automatic myself. I love it, I just wish it had the paddle shifters that the 7th gen has :(

@bryad88 since u driven a 04 6spd hows the gas mileage?? i was thimkin about getting a 02-3 6spd max but leaning more towards a 4th gen ( Yea I know dont make sense) the 4th gen is the only max ive driven never got a chance to drive the 3.5 6spd jus wanna if the fuel economy & mpg is better or worse than a 4th gen maxima

I have the max its a good car but its pretty much even with the SE-R plus the altama went like a second before the max in this video lame
