Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been slaughtering his own meals as a personal challenge. In an e-mail he sent to Fortune, the 27 year-old billionaire said, "This year, my personal challenge is around being thankful for the food I have to eat. I think many people forget that a living being has to die for you to eat meat, so my goal revolves around not letting myself forget that and being thankful for what I have. This year I've basically become a vegetarian since the only meat I'm eating is from animals I've killed myself."
Zuckerberg's main influence for this bizarre practice has been a well-known Silicon Valley chef named Jesse Cool. Cool advised him as he killed his first chicken, pig, and goat. "He cut the throat of the goat with a knife, which is the most kind way to do it," says Cool.
After the slaughter, the dead creatures go to a butcher in Santa Cruz, who cuts them into parts. Zuckerberg and his longtime girlfriend, Priscilla Chan, have been cooking what he slaughters, eating what many people opt to avoid. He recently ate a chicken, including the heart and liver, and used the feet to make stock. He posted a photo of the bird on his Facebook page, along with a list of the dishes he made from it.
According to Fortune, many of Zuckerberg's 847 friends on his private Facebook page have weighed in on his posts with "a mixture of confusion, curiosity, and outright disgust."

@TheTubeGod NO, it doesn't make sense, given he is 'educated' ( I use that term loosely , for him) , knows what pain feels like, should be aware as from his childhood that we don't harm others or we go to JAIL, and how brave and consciencous of him to not consider the pain he is inflicting, given other form of 'nutrition' exist that do not cause this pain . Pain and agony was not on god's mind when the universe was created.How would you feel treated like this ? Yeah, didn't think so!

I just think it's fair to say that he is no different from any other eliteist in this world. They all play by the same rules, buy food from the same trusted companies, as well as run their own private farms where they can control and monitor their food and how it's made and treated.

I believe he is aware of something wrong with the meat available to the public. Which is why he chooses to kill his own. It makes sense considering all other mill/billionaires do the exact same thing.

Well the truly wealthy people have access to private farms, with strict animal handling, feeding guidelines as well as vegetable and fruit gardens. Any food contracted out such as things like crackers, jams, teas, coffee's etc are only contracted out by other companies that ALSO deal with elite people with strict guidelines as to what they want in their food.

The royal family of England does this exact same thing, even to a higher degree. They have a Royal Seal given to trusted producers.

I KNEW THOSE RICH JEWS WERE RUTHLESS MURDERERS, BUT I HAD NO IDEA! Another article says he has killed pigs as well! When he and his chinese girlfriend wash down the bloody raw pig meat with some fava beans and a nice chianti, I hope their pigfaces are oinkin' happy. This man must be stoppped!
