Shalva Idol 4 - June 2009

The 4th Annual Shalva Idol talent show is open to any child who can go on stage. Each youngster is given a part that is prepared especially for him or her, according to his or her ability. Those who cannot sing can drum on the tarbuka. Some of the children participate with a bell attached to their wrists; some hold up signs with the lyrics and some simply sway to the music. This evening is dedicated to the children and reaffirms their important under the positive attitude title "Everyone Is a Star."

Each year, the current winner of the Israeli Idol show joins Shalva's ensamble, together with past Idol winners. This year's winner, Israel Bar-On and last year's star, Jacko Eisenberg, performed at the event. In addition, Michel Gurielshvilli and the Shalva Band joined together in a new version of Michel's recently-released song.
