Sang this one on Friday the 13th of February, 2009, it's just a simple start of the weekend angst tune. I went to the corner Thai restaurant and had a couple of beers with my dinner and came home and sang this tune on a nice full belly. I should get some picture that actually go with the music maybe? All I have are pictures of myself, it makes me think I'm an ego maniac. I'm really much uglier in real life, and fatter, and also uglier, and fatter. So yeah, this is that "Oh it's Friday Night" for the Yuppies or whatever young people with money and no responsbilities are called these days. I like this song, it feels catchy to me, and I want to sing it after it's over, there's a bittersweetness to the tune, a certain cynicism that is wrapped up in that disdain of the party lifestyle which at the same time covets the freedom and youth a party lifestyle embraces. People want to get dolled-up go out and have fun, and it's even healthy to get out there and do that, but for some people it becomes a profession. This song is about the amatuers and the professionals, it's about the people serving the drinks, and the ones buying. When it's Friday night play this song.
