  • @MrRamminator1 haha, yeah. Thats the famous Black/White kit used in Live Shit; It's a 9 piece TAMA Granstar II or ArtStar II, it was built only for him - the first Signature Drum kit of Tama ;). Cymbals are Zildjian, but i dont know what models ;) (i only know, that he used 2 hats, 4 crashes and 2 chinas). For me, thats the best drumkit of Lars. It sounded godly and looked good :)

  • Cliff Burton wasn't Metallica's first bassist, Ron McGoveny was, but we can all proudly say Cliff was Metallica's greatest bassist.. :) RIP cliff

I have info of the firsts kits that lars used in the early 80' too

  • Fiel a TAMA... larga vida la danes carajo...!!!!!

  • @Corvaxius The drums were Tama Granstar ll he played those drum from justice throughout black up to the begining of the load tour the cymbals were zildjian with 2 14'' z custom dyno beat hi hats 1 20'' z custom china 1 a custom 18'' rock crash 1 17'' a custom rock crash 1 a custom 16'' rock crash 1 a custom 18'' medum crash and 1 17'' a custom medum crash all in brillient finish

  • I think the black and white Tama kit was the best. Perfect sound. Just listen to "Live shit: binge and purge".

  • The Best kit was his artstar II from Justice. It was the same as an arstar with Granstar lugs. Toms were nice and deep, without the xtra sustain of the white kit. It had too much sustain from all the effects hooked up to it. If you listen to justice, it's the same sound, just less sustain, which makes it sound better cause less sustain, but the same bassy attack and deepness. The snre could of used a little more depth with the nice tightness it had, but hey, it still sounded good.

  • Lars Ulrich changed a lot from the black album to reload-load album,he's attitude and all,i miss the one from the black albums but now he's great too :D

  • @Artstar2 i looked around and someone said they remember the add and it was ten grand!

  • @specimen25 When I bought it I only purhased the drums. I had to then go out and find the same stands and cymbals. It also didn't have the original snare. I was able to track one down years ago. It is hard to say what everything cost but my guess would be around $4,000. I was backstage at a Metallica show last year and showed a photo of it to Lars.

  • @Artstar2 oh my god.......what was the price tag on that?!

  • I have envy because I want his massive 80's drums, darn it.
