Not all the stories you see on the six o'clock news are genuine. You'd be surprised who cooks up some of the stories that have us talking, and how we're being manipulated.

Lots of people just don't see it for what it is. And most are so deeply addicted that any serious suggestion that they get rid of their cable is met with laughter and discomfort.

One problem with media is even if you do not believe it, people around you do, and SNL makes jokes about it, and then its talked about like fact. it propagates itself into school reports, books written, comedy, movies etc. The lie is perpetuated by uneducated participants.

Also when your only view comes from the media, even if you refuse to believe it, its your ONLY view. So you either admit "I know nothing since they lie" or you think "well there is a little truth to it" which often is false.

Truth be told, every single thing on tv could be absolute bullshit. If a tree falls in the woods with no one to hear it, does it make sound? If you didn't SEE it or otherwise experience it for yourself, can you really be sure it's for realz? Just playin' devil's advocate. ;)
