Please don't think I believe this crap. People often do get better and become free of any mental disorder symptoms but psychiatry doesn't acknowledge that.
In the world of psychiatry, what cures exist for mental illness. You are about to find out.
This video references the top authorities of mental health in the United States.
So, we have all these mental illnesses like depression, OCD, bipolar, ADHD, social anxiety disorder, Asperger's Syndrome, anorexia, and the list goes on.
So, we prescribe all these drugs to people that are diagnosed with one or more of these mental disorders. Like antidepressants like Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Luvox, Celexa, Lexapro, Effexor or Wellbutrin.
SSRI (Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) are often promoted as correcting chemical imbalances in the brain but there is no proof that depression or mental illness is caused by chemical imbalances in the brain nor is there any proof that antidepressants correct an imbalance.
Medications like Ritalin, Concerta, Adderall, Dexedrine, Strattera, Focalin and Metadata for ADHD. All have undesirable side effects and can damage a person's organs.
Often extreme states of mind like schizophrenia are drugged with antipsychotic medications such as Risperdal, Zyprexa, Seroquel, Geodon, Haldol, Thorazine, Stelazine and Clozaril. All of these drugs are used to control symptoms only. They are not cure for mental disorders. They all have an unknown mechanism of action. Some have side effects and adverse events that can cause permanent neurological damage, movement disorders, diabetes, weight gain, impaired cognitive functioning.

(someone posses the body of the women and healed me). up to now December 28, 2011, the schizophrenia never came back. it was indeed a miracle my family is so happy about it :) . and the cost of the medicine is quite high. now... I do believe in miracle. for those who think severe mental illness doesn't have a cure.. it has.. MIRACLE :)

@TheShaunGawler Yeah, neither does thinking.
These drugs work for some people, but not for everyone.
And what world do you live in where you think you can get money back on a prescription? In the eyes of the government, you're lucky to even get medication.

@GDuff123 you should get you money back, the only cure for mental illness is your thinking trust me dont count on drugs they are false and they dont work

These drugs don't work for everyone. I've been on just about every psych med, so they decided i'k untreatable. My family paid thousands for years, then they said, "Sorry, theres nothing anyone can do for you."

It is as simple as this-if you are diagnosed with one of these disorders-YOU need to determine if the side effect risks outweigh the benefits.Period. I was on many different meds and finally got a doctor who stripped me down to ONE med for my condition. Most doctors prescribe based on your symptoms-if med A causes dizziness they give you med B to correct and you get insomnia-then prescribe med C. Get the picture? 9 times out of 10 it is substandard Rx-ing by the Dr.

you reading it says that people arent guaranteed having more episodes. The problem is that MOST people with schizophrenia & other MI, often quit their meds before they even have a chance to work. So, yes they have more episodes. I also got Tardive Dyskinesia...close to the same as the women in video. But mouth movements not quite as bad. There are meds to help with that but you choose not to include that info. People need to try diff meds till they find one that works for them.Yes takesawhile

medications over a long period of time...all to the profit of the Phar Company's. You fail to mention that it ALSO helps the person that NEEDS the meds to cope with their problem. If it wernt for these meds, i would live in "Psycho-ville. The meds help and they do work. NO, there is no cure, but the meds (once you find one that you can live with...side effects) then hopefully you will begin to at least be able to control your self and the voices inside your head. Meds can & do help. Im proof

I myself suffer from mental illness... The problem is everyones illness is personalised to them.. different delusions etc. different genetic and chemical makeup... because of that reason. a cure will never be found.. cures will be on an individual basis... tried meds.. they killed my whole personna and had an adverse affect on my body. I'm definately better without! although i do have bad days. more than others no doubt, I still lead a stable life. any good days are appreciated much more now!!
