This has made me want to watch the last 2 season again

@Lui123ist Also I think there was a hidden message earlier in the show, when Charlie and Mr Ecko are building a church, I think that was definite foreshadowing.

@Lui123ist I know that it was the afterlife, I just compared it to a dream because it was a plane of existence where the consciousness (or spirit if you would rather) is moved to after their physical body dies. That's my understanding of it anyhow, not a physical place but somewhere that appears to be real in the mind, that's why Desmond could travel there when he was unconscious.

I remember waiting for this scene ever since we first "seen" Jacob in the cabin in season 3. Such a genuinely epic scene and written so well.

@CosmicUndeadElf No Christian explains it to Jack.
They all made the flash side ways together so that they could find back together again after they died. They all died at different points in their lifes but there was no time in the flash side ways. They waited for the ones that was still alive and when they where all there in the end they could cross over:)

@HolyoakeD That was also one of Jacobs lists. Richard gave it to Ben.

@ARA90051 We are all here for a reason. You just have to find yours. It´s out there somewhere, and only you can find it.
Amazing. Anyone who says this season didn't have answers didn't watch. This scene explains the entire show, while Across the Sea and Ab Aeterno explain everything you need to know about the mythology. People will complain about anything.
The show is centered around the characters, and the final season closed the book on all of them in the most PERFECT way possible.

@ElFlacoAlto1 It always amuses me how random people like you talk as though you were present in the writer's room so you know why they do everything they do. Ever think that they had the ending planned all along? Seriously what show have you been watching for 6 years, because even during season 1 Lost has always had ghosts showing up and religious themes but just because the finale involved a church in a dream you start getting all cynical and use words like scapegoat or cop out.
