@MrMaGaSiUs Think of punk. Now add a trumpeteer and a trombone. Now imagine those punk power chords played with short upstroke jabs and muted downstrokes. Oh and the bass usually has a more complex bassline than just root notes hiding beneath the power chords

@bigtitties1234 I can't exactly remember what my original comment was. It was very long ago. But i think i was just trying to explain ska to someone on a level he would understand. Yes, i am calling him dumb. Thank you for the new information about the origin though, i o appreciate that. And this song actually has power chords in it, if you listen to it. But power chords are the bottom three notes of a barre chord. Ska chords are the top three notes. Fair? I was only trying to break it down.

@PatrickINcident totally, utterly wrong. First of of all, ska comes from jamaica in the 50's, and takes its influence from jazz, long before punk was thought of. And second, if you knew jack shit about guitar, you'd know that ska does not use power chords.

@metallisante95 chinga tu madre, joto, ska is slightly the best around.... metalheads need to realize there is music other than metal out there (and i say this being a huge iron maiden fan)
