I think that the premise of the series actually sounds quite interesting. I think it could've had a lot of potential, but there were just so many production problems right from the start.

Either way, I really think that someone should redo the series, and hopefully give it a chance to start again with a story closer to Harlan Ellison's original concept. Who knows? It just might work.

(cont.) Oh, and maybe Keir Dullea should play Elder Micah (that's what the character is called in the "Phoenix Without Ashes" graphic novel) in the pilot.

By the way, if someone were to remake the series, I think Mia Kirshner should play Rachel. I haven't really thought about who should play Devon or Garth, though.

(For the record, if Kirshner were to get the part, she'd be playing against type, given the kinds of roles she's known for playing. Either way, I do think she's really beautiful.)

Didn't the Sci Fi Channel (when it still had heart!) Run this during its showcase of short-lived SF series & non-picked-up pilots in the early 90's? While I'm Not familiar with this series... I'm certain I was exposed to it somewhere!

Uh Yes It Now Is Was Released in 2008: Complete Series Both Seasons so Sadly just the Original 16 Episodes, but the Opening Sequence has been Re Done and is not even half as good as the Original
