  • Pretty? This ain't pretty. Handbags, hairdos and shoes are pretty. This is a deep kind of amazing, ethereal, dramatic, pull at your heart strings, stay with you forever raw, powerful, visceral, agonising, indescribable BEAUTY. Patrick Watson's over-drawn vowels, awkwardness, unique pronunciation and incredible vocal range make it unforgettable. Pretty? Grrr.

Now it's time to leave and turn to dust.

  • So Lovely. Something to behold. Really gorgeous. Thanks.

  • There is a house built out of stone Wooden floors, walls and window sills... Tables and chairs worn by all of the dust... This is a place where I don't feel alone This is a place where I feel at home... Cause, I built a home for you for me Until it disappeared from me from you And now, it's time to leave and turn to dust... Out in the garden where we planted the seeds There is a tree as old as me Branches were sewn by the color of green Ground had arose and passed it's knees By the cracks

  • It's only songs and performances of great depth like this one that don't inspire a string of degrading dialogue, but instead comments of admiration and inspiration.

Thanks for building us a better home, Cinematic.

  • Just saw the French-Australian movie "The Tree" and this song is played during the end credits. I could not stop listening. Magical!

  • @theishjort Btw this song is amazing-

  • @music12348 Yes idd I do. It was a joke ofc. But it´s mostly your stomac that hurts, not your heart right?

I mean. If you feel pain in your heart, you should go see a doctor.

  • @theishjort havent u ever listened to a song and forgot everything u were doing and just listened........and realized that it was one of the most amazing things ever written/recorded.
