No other movie has impacted me in any way as much as this movie has when i watched when it came out on VHS when i was a kid i ran outside feeling like a million dollars and i still get the feeling everytime i watch it.

best movie ever....hands down. most original idea ever. 2 was awesome also!! but the 3rd was a let down :( should have took 2 years (off) then filmed the last one....more ideas....

I completely agree, I have yet to see a decent sci-fi movie that wasn't based of a book or a remake/sequel in the last 10 yrs lol, probably a little bit shorter than that but still. To this day I still tell people that The Matrix is my favorite movie because it has every element a great movie (IMO) should have.
