  • Nice coop, looking at building one the same. Is the floor solid inside, or lat? possible to fit a sliding tray. New to chicken's hoping to have 3 in total, eggs & kids pets.

    Whats best egg laying chickens?

  • the floor was fitted but it be easy to change to sliding floor this was easy to clean out mind.i had traditional lhmann brown which are easy to start with and cuckoo maran both eggcellent breeds for starters you will get approx 4-5 eggs per week off each...

  • is that plastic? pretty cool if it is what website did you get it from?

  • no it was made of wood brought from ebay but i added a longer run and the nest box on the side...

  • did you make or buy that coop?

lol, they eat alot. i wonder what else they do alot =P

  • i brought the coop but built & added the nest box onto it to make it larger and easier for collecting the eggs...

  • Very nice coop! Nice healthy birds too! good job!

  • can i ask why does every one put music up ...? you ever tought maybe you should leave the music and talk a little or let us hear your chickens etc i dont want to listen to fu fighters or who ever they are

  • nice coop and nice-looking hens. how high is the coop up off of the ground?

  • @peoplepowerinc I've had lots of breeds & I recommend the best to be sussex, ameraucana/easter egger, leghorn, marans, orpington (orps. not as prolific as people claim, in my experience), plymouth rocks, or any of these crossed with another layer breed which will make for a hardy bird & usually seem to be better layers, also pretty coloring.

My Rhode I Red's are noisy so I don't recommend.

Most LEGHORNS are jumpy but wow can they lay! 2 leghorns can do what 3-4 regular layer breeds can!

  • hey i'm getting some chickens soon and was wondering are they noisy? cos i have a very grumpy next door neighbour lol

  • i have the exact same exept the from the bottom of the brown door to the edge of the coop has been converted into a larger coop and then down the little ramp(thistime coming of edge of coop on video) has a closed run 15ft long and 5ft wide outside.

  • you have just two? how many eggs do the lay? I so want to build a coop, but id like to get about 5-6 of them in it.

  • gingernut ranger they lay like the clappers plus there reli tame aswell

  • I have that exact same coop, but it is a lighter colour, well it looks like it anyway...

  • Is that an orpintin the white one? I have 9 chickens that are about 5 or 6 weeks old. I have orpintins, plymoth rocks, and jersey reds, 3 each. And they are just so cute to watch. (:
