  • Sweet. I wish there was a piano and vocal track of this on Youtube.

  • @hklinker Yeah it's doubled but it's not doubled like people do now with an effect, he actually sang the whole thing again and matched it up with the same intonations and inflections and that's actually a challenging thing to do for most singers.

  • Where did you get this or how did you get this? I don't understand how people get these tracks, it is amazing!

  • @GlitzPianoman - I was surprised about the same thing. I wonder if in the FINAL mix, the second voice was pulled in sections. I don't hear doubling in the verses, just a bit of reverb (this is a 'dry' mix which was customary- they'd add effects as desired over a dry mix)

  • Elton sings with a British "country" accent

  • In all my years listening to this song, I have never noticed the doubling throughout the song. I thought it was only in certain spots. This is, hands down, one of Elton's best recordings overall. Thank you for sharing this insight into the song's recording. Where did you get this?

  • Yeah yeah. That should be right.

  • He's doubling his voice, right ? It's easier to hear in some places than in others.
