The Zatoichi is based on a the sword of a Japanese film hero who roamed Japan in the 19th century.This sword, immortalized by the blind swordsman, is a full-length straight katana, disguised as a simple walking stick. Excellent collector's piece.

Yeah ninjas did use what ever they can get or buy like Katanas to a String. but the Ninjato is a Blade which is formed similar like the Katana but short and straight which this makes it easier to go in buildings and come out into a battlefield so the ninjato isn't a Wakazashi, its a sword and if you don't believe me google the word Ninjato

@brianthao102 its not a real sword, also no such thing as a ninjato, they use katana or shorter versions, theyr not generaly strait at all. ninjas are trained to use just about any weapon and tools as weapons its just versatile, u will never find a completely strait sword like that from the actual period where ninjas wer still active, but if u want one try paul chen Zatoichi, they have several vresions and theyr real tempered carbon steel and u can get it folded too, starts at 80$ folded is 150+

Why don't you buy a good sword... this one would be more effective if it was made of wood.. You have good taste in design but this thing would prolly break if you ever actually had to use it.
