Lake Poway Youth Fishing Derby 2011

My brother Orlan takes my 9 year old daughter Kailey to her first Youth Fishing Derby located at Lake Poway, CA. In all, she catches 2 trout, one 3 pounder and the other a 6 pounder. Four pound test was used on the two poles. We trolled Nightcrawler on one and the other Chartreuse Power Bait. Derby started at sunrise and weigh-ins had to be completed by 12:00. Kailey won a raffle/door prize and took 2nd place over all in the Derby. Orlan and I had to get to the lake early so that we didn't miss the opportunity for a boat. People camped out the night before to get in line for the boats. We arrived at the Lake at 3:30 AM and waited for the boat/concession stand to open at 6:00 AM. Thanks for watching!!!
