I have to admit I was sceptical this would be another poor American remake of a British classic, but this was brilliant. The casting, the acting, the dialogue was fantastic. Spacey and the team did an amazing job and this really stands up alongside the British version as an equal. Richardson's elegant evil is a unique product of the British class system and I'm glad the American version didn't try to replicate it.
