Bird was such a friggin badass. He did not take anyones crap and would destroy you if you tried to get in his face. Christmas should be changed to Larry Birds birthday.

Larry Bird practiced shooting from all over the court more than any player ever. He mathematically mastered the game by vector plotting the court in his mind.

Larry Bird a great clutch player, even I never watch NBA when he was an active player, I watched some of his highlights and gs on youtube, he once made game winner in mJ's face.

And he had very high FG% when he average 25+ppg season, it proves he was a great shooter, and not only a shooter.

But one thing makes him a legend is his big heart, he is always one of the toughest competitors in NBA history.

People can waver Jordan as the best ever........But Bird was the smartest player to ever play the game. It was almost like having a player-version of Adolph Rupp on the floor. Jordan had the athletic advantage.....but he didn't have the cunning craftness of Bird. No one did......and probably no one else ever will. It was his intellect and foresight that allowed him to compete with...and often defeat....athletic wonders like Dr. J and Jordan.

I'm with Ricky Bird has to be the greatest and you hear people comparing Kobe to MJ why don't they compare him to Bird i Mean kobe will never accopmplish what Bird Has.
