And well the transcript and subtitles clearly state the word "pete" - SO YOU ARE WRONG, deal with it, but as i said your are a big time "stuck up". No, i certainly know what "For Pete's Sake" means, but in this case =, The clear impression I got is that Carrie, in a very charge emotion, started to say "Everyone's not as tough as you Miranda, peo (then she caught her breath).. some of us make mistakes. peo/US humanized it for Carrie.
And in context, Pete just doesn't work here. I many be wrong, but you see where I'm coming from? Carrie as begging for her friend to be understanding, and later she got it.
