yeah but would you also agree that generally any misogyny of women in the bible happens in the old testament?? in the new testament Jesus treats women with love and respect: Luke 23: 29 "blessed are the women." history is full of misogyny: even secular society treats women with little respect. it is who Jesus opposes this, in both secular and religious society.

plus, even if some of his views are too harsh (particularly his anti-homosexuality) the basis of his teaching is the new testament: all it teaches is love and compassion. it's not rigid; there's room for mistakes. why dont we want to live in that kind of society? a society based on love and culture and spirituality? some people have criticised his anti-seculatity, but thats what makes his belief good: he promotes love and community, not personal gain and an "ends justifies the means" attutude
