Baja name ~ TZ-11 aka "El Ñamestein"
A Baja vehicle is a light off-road recreational ATV vehicle able to withstand highly irregular terrain conditions while providing the driver a comfortable and secure environment at all times. Aside from being attractive to the consumer, this vehicle has the potential to compete favorably in the market because of its low manufacturing and maintenance cost, easy handling and repair.
The Baja vehicle design is directed to individuals that look for fun and adventure by its capacity to adapt to all type of terrains and applications.
Our team had the task of designing, building, testing and promoting a new vehicle with high possibilities of getting a recognition in the competition Baja SAE Illinois 2011 and also the opportunity to represent Puerto Rico internationally.
In order to achieve this we used the facilities provided by our university, which is equipped with all the necessary machinery for the construction of the vehicle. In addition, we had the task of looking for the necessary funds to support all of our expenses because the university does not have included in their budget the necessary funds for the accomplishment of this project.
