I am from Czech republic (the streetcar too). In Czech republic and in Germany and Poland too, we have many streetcar-systems. In Czech republic Praha/Prague, Liberec, Plzeň (city of Pils-Beer), Most+Litvínov, Brno, Ostrava and Olomouc. In Germany for example Berlin, Chośebuz/Cottbus and Zhorjelc/Görlitz.

@Lukelr Central Link and Tacoma Link are separate systems, and are totally incompatible - the track gauge is the same, but the voltages on the overhead lines are different.
Also, technically, this isn't a streetcar system since it has its own dedicated right of way. Rather, its a type of light rail. The Seattle Streetcar is a street car system, since it shares the road with cars. Ironically, both systems had their trains manufactured by the same company.

Years after many were banished from the streets, the 'trolleys' are staging a comeback. I just heard on the news their is a plan being studied to bring back the trolley to part of Brooklyn.

The Tacoma Streetcar System looks superior compared to the Portland OR streetcar. The Streetcar does not have to merge with cars and buses as in Portland. Safer for everyone.
