This video shows the Palmer MI PEPAMP - Pocket Amp explained by Markus Torvinen (Palmer Engineer) and Robin Henlich (Palmer production manager).

SOUND SAMPLES @ 1:35

The Sound of the Amp was recorded trough a LD SYSTEMS active Cabinet with a Shure SM57 microphone, plus the direct output of the Pocketamp. Guitar played is a custom Amfisound guitar http://www.amfisound.fi/frameset_eng.htm

With headphone and XLR outputs you can practice quietly at home, or connect the Pocket Amp to a PA sytem for band rehearsals and forget about lugging that heavy amp and cab around. The stereo Aux Inputlets you connect CD and MP3 players to play along to your favorite songs and work out tricky parts.Providing a wide array of clean and dirty amp sounds and faithful loudspeaker simulation the Pocket Amp sounds just like the real thing. It features switchable amp selection, Clean, Crunch, and Heavy modes,loudspeaker/mic position simulations, and there are controls for Drive, Level, Treble und Bass to fine tune your sound. All this is packed into a rugged die-cast aluminium housing. The Pocket Amp operates onbattery and mains (a 9V DC adapter is available from Palmer).

  • Great intro:D

  • @FranBy96 thx ;)

  • i think you plug the output from the pocket amp directly to the tube amp to record the sound of this video.

  • @akhennion The Pocket amp sound you hear in this video is a mix of a direct feed from the pocket amp's XLR out and an ambient mic, picking up the pocket Amp sound from a wedge.

  • @PalmerGermany Sounds like tube amp, congratulations. Built the next in reverb with its stereo output and sell millions of unities. Built a quality power amp like magnum 44 and you will have the most portable gear. Greetings from Barcelona!

  • @akhennion Thanks for your advice, we will add it to our list

  • POCKET AMP ? OR POCKET POD?

    what is better

  • @aramanamu It needs to be amplified, the Pocket amp works as a DI, or as a preamp, but if you want to connect it to a speaker cab rather than connecting it directly to a mixer (PA) then you need to let it run through a guitar amp first and from there into the speaker cab.

  • hi, sounds great! so can the output go straight into a speaker cab, or does it need to be amplified? thanks

  • Well done!! Very nice!!! I SUBEED!!!! sub back if you want ;)

Greetings from Spain;) Comment my video:)
