Um, again. Im not a Jazz player. Im kinda a rock/blues/punk player, but i wanted to show some of the warm tones from the ME-50. Give me a overdiven tube amp anyday.

The settings are my usual modulation and delay settings. Ive posted them on other videos. The reverb is hall reverb maxed. ie: Reverb = 4.5 ish

I use the OD-2 for big tones. ie: Lots of fat mid range. The drive on the OD-2 is fantasic for in-your-face lead solos. I also love the BD-2 distortion which I use a lot for rock tones.

The BD-2 is very close to an old Marshall tone. When its clean, you can overdrive it using the compressor which sounds very close to old ACDC/Led Zep tones. It does a fantasic blues tone. After all its a blues driver :-)

Anyway. Again, im not a jazz player, so if you have studied jazz and are shocked by my lack of knowledge, then, mmmm. What can I say.

Actually, I know most of what Im doing here. I just dont care for music exams.

  • Could you post a list of the actual settings? I've been trying to get this for weeks now, and just can't figure it out :(.

  • @MetalFTWBiartch I cant for this video, since I change the settings a number of times. But, it isn't that hard. The MOD/DELAY/REVERB would all be the same as my other settings. Im just changing the OD/DS type and the drive. Thats it. I may be changing the TONE type, but it really doesn't matter. Jazz/Blues tones are so diverse, almost anyything goes. Plus, a lot of the tone changes come from changing the pickups. Just go with what feels good to you

  • Nice playin'. If that aint jazz I don't care i'm still listenin'!!!!

  • @boxmanmammogram

Thanks. yea, im not sure what it is. Somewhere between blues and jazz. I know guys who do "know jazz", so I would never claim I know. But, I like this tone and it is nice to play with when rock just doesn't cut it. I like all kinds of tones.

  • Gotta love the exposure control on the camera. I think we missed the photography exams too.
