The core of Krishnamurtis teaching is contained in the statement he made in 1929 when he said, Truth is a pathless land. Man cannot come to it through any organization, through any creed, through any dogma, priest or ritual, not through any philosophical knowledge or psychological technique. He has to find it through the mirror of relationship, through the understanding of the contents of his own mind, through observation and not through intellectual analysis or introspective dissection.

-- So meditation is the opposite of religion. In meditation you seek the answer inside yourself, or learn to accept the void in you. In religion you seek the answers delivered to you from outside yourself. Make up your mind what you want and live with it.

The difference between meditation and religion is - religion is someone else's meditation which only applies to that someone - your meditation is only applicable to you. And if you are insane enough you would want it to apply to all people in order to prove your own righteousness and feel at home in the outside when you cannot feel at home in your own inside. ---

Wow, I could pick this apart a dozen different ways, where to begin? How about this:

His last sentence in this video is, "to come upon that, meditation is necessary". 

How is this different from religion that he spends seven minutes denigrating?

religion is what you have been looking for your whole life... it was for me... and i have gone through a lot of unnecessary pain because i was searching for the truth... think before you choose atheism... and your religion cannot be shared with anyone as it fails as soon as it is posted as a truth trough your mouth

Can mankind invent or imagine anything that does not already exist in the Universe? Does our very imagination capture some knowledge outside of ourselves but we must go within to discover it?
