nice car you have. And lot of power from a 2.0 16v
you start just over 2 seconds and at 100km/h you are at 11 seconds.
So 11 - 2.5 or so is in the 8.5 second range.
So some new spark plugs and distributor and cap and ignition wires new and new oil and oil filter, new air filter and clean throttle body and clean air mass sensor (with mass air sensor cleaner) will raise the power.
Then some new rubber on the road for more grip.
Yes and there you go.. probably 7 seconds COOL

0-100 km/h in 8,4 seconds in this video. It's very good for a 1796 cc engine... but the Mercedes E280 CDI of my father it's more faster than your SLK200! because the engine it's much more powerfull... V6 vs. 4 cylinder. 190 hp vs. 184 hp. 440 nm vs. 250 nm. E280 CDI 0-100 km/h in 7,4 seconds.SLK 200 0-100 km/h in 8,4 seconds. 1 second more faster. Top speed E280 CDI 245 km/h (reached on autobahn in last summer).Top speed SLK 200 235-240 km/h. But booth cars are great because are Mercedes-Benz ;)

@Fafnir1982 Absolutely :))

@wesvision Ah but you don't really need to drive a Mercedes fast :-) This car has lots of grace and elegence and above all class. Not a boy racer machine. I'm thinking of buying the previous version (manual with 6 gears) as I prefer how that car looks to the facelift model.

I'd only buy a new SLK with the 7gear transmission. It kicks ass^^
Buy a SLK 350 you wont regret but dont buy a 200

@IbanezGio122 Yeah, I agree.
After over a year of usage I'm not fond of this motor. You need to take it over 3500 rpm to feel some sprint, below it's just sluggish.
I will soon make a video of a Ecoupe 350 CDI with AMG kit. That's a car! =)

I personally prefer the manual version, because it has 6 gears and you can change gear when you want (with the automatic one it's near impossibile to go to the following gear below 2000 rpm).
The one thing I can question to this car is it's weight, before you can feel it's power you may have to be around 3000 rpm, otherwise it feels a bit "lazy".
Cornering is just great, the car is very suitable for strict turns.
My English may sound a little awful, I'm sorry =)
Hope this was useful for you =)
