CSX O721-03 Lehigh Spur March 3, 2010

Coal train operations aren't common on the Lehigh. Nor are Florida Rock trains these days. But what has been pretty rare and something I've only seen twice before happened yesterday. Both the slack from K977-03 and the first cut of V156 came in with V156's power. Thursday, according to Brian (Braintrainz), there was a second cut of coal. As of friday, I have yet to see the third.

CSX 280 (CW44AC)
15 3 bay open top hoppers with coal for Cemex cement plant
70 3 bay National Steel Car 2,640 ft3 open top hoppers that are empty. Outbound cuts of these have limerock, often for Taft, but today they are inbound.

Thanks, Evan! Too bad I miss the mainline action, this is just a local carrying the first of three cuts that V156 carried... But one day, I'll be out on the Miami Sub for V156.
