One Sunday, I decided to go out and shoot some video of a popular tourist destination in Seoul called Insadong. I had no idea that I'd wind up meeting two people who would take time to teach me about their country!

I also talk about overcoming lonliness as an ESL teacher in South Korea in response to some posts I've seen on Dave's ESL Cafe. http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/

  • Great video Bryan! I've been watching your videos and find them really informative. I may be leaving in Aug of this year, so I've been doing my research. I was initially very nervous because I've never really done anything on my own. Did you sign a 6 month or 1 year contract?

  • @Redvelvet502 Hey thanks for the comment and the subscription! I signed a year long contract with a Kindergarten in Seoul. As far as I'm aware, there aren't many 6 month contracts. Year long contracts are definitely more the norm. Anyway, feel free to ask if you have any questions.

  • Yea nice one mate. There are art galleries and net shops and people banging on drums. Its hard to convince ones self that its a great place. Basic facts, Korea good for money sucks on culture. If youre not chasing the cash then try Japan heaps better. Or even south East Asia. Trust me from someone who was trying to convince himself Korea was good, it wasnt. Youre grasping at straws mate.

  • @killamansgiro Care to elaborate? I'm interested in what you've got to say.

  • Good little video blog, my friend!

  • @qiranger Thanks! That last one wasn't so bad either!
