Me an the old man had a little accident at an air show at croft farm, summerset, England. We were both ok, and two years later the aircraft is back in the air again. Happy Days :o)

  • @Rwy02 no with a calculator ;)

  • There is nothing better than a stick, rudder, and two wheels!!!!

  • @aratidwell I agree! Why ruin a perfectly good airplane by putting a nose wheel on it! I own 2 Luscombes and everyone says how squirrly they are. What a bunch of crap! Taildraggers rule!

  • Never fly the A-model of anything! :-)

Glad that you are ok, and that the RV is flying again.

  • @aratidwell your 100% right. I fly a C-180H which is just a 182 with a tail wheel and a bigger motor. Its versatility is amazing compared to the 182. But all my buds with tricycle time wouldn't dare touch it. People overestimate conventional aircraft I guess.

  • Built a LongEZ myself. Hard to watch, knowing the work that goes into one. Glad you were OK and that you got her back in the air.

Keep any logs on hours to built and hours to repair, or hazard a guess?

Are you avoiding grass fields now?

What was the extent of the damage?

Was the engine trashed by the prop stop?

  • Wouldn't had happened on a tail dragger!!!! The trike RV's are lame

  • Cant help but notice you have no front spat on when landing. Can you tell me if you think that added to the cause of the flip. It looks like the front wheel dug in.

Our RV had a the same problem before we bought it. The previous owner then modifies the spat and reinforced it to help prevent digging in.

    Good luck
