@stripedshirts Uh, maybe because almost all the other Hitchcock actors were like 30 years older than Tony (except Sean Connery who was only 2 years older)
-
@stripedshirts if this tribute was in '79 he was 47 he still looked charming!
-
Tony looked fantastic here - how old was he then? he was the only male from amongst the Hitchcock men who did not go grey or white.

Janet Leigh smoked ,that always ages someone. We all get older though,a little every day

@tarnsand I watched the A&E biography documentary of Ms. Leigh and she had some very sad times in her life. Around the same time, her father committed suicide and her husband (Tony Curtis) dumped her for a 17 year old starlet. This must have caused a lot of stress which contributed to her aging quickly.

Hitchcock was always so whimsical

It is to the Academy Award's discredit that he never won an oscar for best director.

@KamasutraButterfly hitchcock died in 1980 and this is in 1979,

@DominoPetachi83 yes she was several years older than him but the hair was horrible too, it made her look frumpy
I wish Alfred Hitchcock would stop his incessant grinning, pointing and waving. He's normally so reserved.

@DominoPetachi83 Janet was 52 at this tribute in 1979. I think it is the 'bleach blonde seventies style' that you may find makes her look older. She was always very slim but still looked very pretty at 77 when she passed away. The stars of this era did not go 'industrial' on the plastic surgery so they still look or looked like themselves. Cheers:)
