STOP THE WAR...BBC NEWS 09/04/2007 More than 2,000 coalition troops, and many thousands more Iraqi civilians, have been killed since the start of the military action.09/04/2007 The wife of a soldier killed in Iraq has received an anniversary card from her husband just days after discovering that he died on patrol.
Kingsman Danny John Wilson, 28, from the 2nd Battalion, The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment, died on Sunday after he was injured during a patrol in Basra.
He had already served in the country and volunteered to go back and fight for a second time, the Ministry of Defence said.
The father of one, who leaves his wife Tracey and son Leo, was on his second tour in the war-torn country and had been earmarked as a future officer because of his experience, the MoD said.
Mrs Wilson told ITV News that a card from her husband celebrating their wedding anniversary arrived as she struggled to come to terms with his death.
She said: "I actually got an anniversary card from him (on the day of our anniversary) because obviously the post isn't exactly quick."
"It's like it's all happening to somebody else. I look at his picture in the paper and it's just not him to me...it's not happening. But I think it will probably start to sink in when I go to see his body and go to the funeral."
The soldier was described by the MoD as "popular and much respected" with an "infectious sense of humour" which had marked him out as a Battalion character.THIS IS ONE OF THE NEWS FROM IRAK !!!

Iraq had NOTHING to do with what happened in New York or DC or over Pennsylvania on 9/11/2001. Did you not ever study recent American history? Even George Bush never said that they did. The whole pretext of our invasion was "weapons of mass destruction" - which did not exist. Combat vets who did not know the truth were truly ill-used by the US in Iraq. Many are sick unto death when they learn how they were mislead to do what they did. Support the troops by bringing them home - now!

Being a combat veteran from Iraq, and a wounded one at that. I am glad we are there. We need to be there and in afghanistan. What would you people think if it was your mom, dad, brother, sister, son, daughter in those towers, pentagon and that plane? If you dont like how america operates, get the hell out.

YES,That can be said at this point? It's hard for certain unjust individuals to admit they were dead wrong. Too removed to feel the suffering of others; to walk a mile in Iraqi moccasins. Or even to see the real harm being done to US service men and women, and truly care for them and their problems. Too much disconnect, and too much sadness.. But, it's never too late to get involved, and help bring an end to the madness.STOP THE KILLING NOW...
