Are the halos the DRL's?

No, the driving lights in the bumper are the DRLs. The halos come on with the parking lights.

Did you turn the headlights on before you started the car or did they come on by thereselves? if so im just wondering why? its daylight outside.

I probably had them on so the halos would be on. I drove it around like that most of the time.
