This was my attempt to clean the wheel/rim (with seven years of brake dust & grime) by soaking for 10 minutes with an all purpose cleaner and a pressure washer. It got a lot of it off, but I was really surprised at how much was left behind and not coming off despite intense pressure washing.

  • @amrknu...you're kind of missing the point of this product. The products you mentioned may work, but a) you are already at using two products and steps and b) I seriously doubt you are going to use those same products on the car body, plastic trim, rubber seals, etc. It can also be used on motorcycles, RV's, boats, airplanes, etc. See where we're going with this? Check out the 50 other videos if in doubt.

  • If you'll check out the end of this video, you'll see that the Acrylic-Werks polish got the brake dust off just fine. No need to go with another product.

Plus, Acrylic-Werks is water-based and contains no petro distillates or any other components that are harmful. (i.e. not need for warning labels (keep out of reach of children") or cautions about getting it on other surfaces) In fact, it can replace most if not all of the products on your website.

  • you sound like John Goodman

  • @Zethioth - Not at all but I will hold everyone to the same standard that I and my clients have held me to for the past 16 years. My clients expect nothing less and I hope our videos are sending the same message.

  • @GonzalesAcrylicWerks Someone a little angry? All I did was simply state what I had done to my rims. Don't take it up the ass.

  • @Zethioth And what is the plan for protecting the rims in the future? Also, I think everyone would like to see a before photo and an after photo just for the sake of backing up the statement. The reason our videos exist is so everyone can plainly view our results vs me suppllying a statement that states what it can do. Live demonstrations were the way we started but now our "Real-Time" videos help many others find this product.

  • My wheels had 18 years of brake dust. All I needed was Simple Green, a tooth brush, and some elbow grease. They're looking good.

  • 7 year of brake dust or 20 years of brake dust just use SONAX FULL EFFECT or use IRON X and after this step use a tar product like Acrysol and your rims will be as new

  • Simple green is a basic cleaner thats not harsh at all. Brake dust has bits of metal in it that beds in.............You will not clean a wheel with 7 years worth of brake dust with simple green....
