Colorado jazz pianist Mark Sloniker and his quartet, with Jim Franzen (sax), Devin Hoff (bass), and Scott Gordon (drums). This was the annual Christmas broadcast of the Fort Collins cable TV show "Alley Tracks" and aired in December 1993.

  • and actually no they aren't that much more expensive than a regular soprano, and honestly a straight soprano sounds way better, it's just the fact that a curved soprano is way easier to keep in tune.

  • @saxomaphone2011 yeah, it's actually a soprano they make a straight soprano and curved, as you see it's not a straight. but yes it is a soprano

  • do you know the sound from the straight soprano of branford marsalis? i think he has a really warm and smooth sound.

  • i agree, the sound is much warmer, darker, and smooth then a straight soprano.

  • As Hardbat said, it's a curved soprano. Personally I think they get a much better tone than the straight soprano (which to me is a flawed instrument).
