tyler perry shold not make this a race thing. i think tyler and spike help to steoreotype negatvie images of balcks in the media. tyler is no different from ru paul and i hear he doesn't pay the blacks who work for his studio. the same ppls he's trying to "help'. haters come in all colors.

cont'd African-American community for Spike Lee's creative and unique style of movie production (not to forget his story-telling ability in the biographical drama "Malcolm X"). Tyler Perry simply capitalizes off of the market that wants to see "ghetto" on film and supplies and demands–-thus, creating profit. In my opinion, playing into stereotypes is hardly amusing nor creative, so one can understand from an artistic and professional perspective why Spike Lee gives him the cold shoulder.

I agree that Tyler Perry (considered by some) and Spike Lee are great producers, however...Tyler Perry's movies are seen by some African-Americans as modern day 'blaxploitation' movies––myself included. His best work were the "Why Did I Get Married?" movies. The Madea franchise is simply black buffoonery on film. Spike Lee's films have always been creative and maturely addressed real life issues in real time. Even "She's Gotta Have It" and "School Daze" are considered classics in the....cont'd
