Miriam was the pre lim winner. The magic of the night was with Botswana. There were 85 countries entered. Botswana's first time ever to enter they elected a great delegate who's journey to the pageant made for a great pageant story. It shows that (USA, Venezuela,PR, etc..) the regulars we always see in the top 10 could be beat by an underdog that doesn't have the same big corp sponsors that pay for the best gowns, hair, makeup, coaches, plastic surgery.

Miriam is my fave Miss Philippines .
