I don't get it why so many people are putting this show down? I thought the same thing when I first saw it, but damn this is a fun series and great tribute to a more classic Batman! Just take it for what it is a fun adventure silver age Batman show! If you want a darker show with more character development then go back and watch Batman the Animated Series! That show is still amazing!
