Rancho Santa Fe 4th of July 2010 - Fourth of July Parade & Picnic - Event Celebration Fun

Independence Day in Rancho Santa Fe! See the parade, hear the music, listen to the cheers, join the picnic. People of all ages and generations gather in praise of all that is positive about The United States of America! RSF Rotarians march with their banner, reinforcing the Rotary International Four-Way Test: "Of the things we think, say or do: Is it the TRUTH? Is it FAIR to all concerned? Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?" (ranchosantaferotary.org). The RSF Golf Club and RSF Community Center (rsfcc.org) bring together our community, you will hear Erin Leahy welcome the crowd and see Nick Pavone who presides as Grand Marshal.

RSF native Bridget Cantwell McDonald speaks with long-time locals like Frankie Owens, Chaco Clotfelter, Ruth Giffin Godley, Wayne Arendsee and more. See Rotarians Maurice Rahimi, Ole Prahm, Alan Balfour, and Patrick Galvin all led by Katie Hawkes who holds our flag high! Rotarian of the year Heather Manion strolls the parade in a red Ferrari near her sister Holly who is wearing red, white, and blue. RSF Elementary teacher of 28 years Donna Miano cheers along the parade excitedly and sees former student Steve Augusta for the first time in many years! Francine Busby praises our great nation near the Garden Club which displays a golf cart covered with thousands of flowers. Golf champion Phil Michelson rides by waving, as kids whiz by on scooters. Steve Finley makes an appearance too. The Dorseys steal the show with a super tractor that rides alongside amazing vintage treasures out of automobile history!

A passionate rendition of Francis Scott Key's Star Spangled Banner is sung by two magnificent singers. Bill Gang and his wife deserve a prize for their patriotic outfits and Martin Garrick celebrates our historic event. Listen to Dana, Dean and Aiden say Happy 4th! The villagers of Rancho Santa Fe and visitors shout a resounding Thank You to everyone who made this Independence Day celebration possible including: RSF Community Center, RSF Golf Club, The Inn, RSF Rotary, RSF Patrol, RSF Fire Protection, and so many more.
