The bill would be good if it was just a public option without all the silly insurance mandates and the provisions that create like 5 or 10 new healthcare bureaucracies. There's one in there that essentially studies how to limit Medicare costs, if I recall. But then again, when has gov't EVER gotten on the ball when it comes to knowing how to cut costs effectively for a hugely-expensive program like Medicare?Let private firms figure it out and recommend to Congress.

Enough is Enough! We need a strong PUBLIC OPTION! Visit the comment section of my profile and sign the petitions there. There is even one by Weiner that suggests that the dems like BAUCUS who vote against the public option and side with the republicans lose their chairmanships.
