Second try..... as someone noted it's worth the complete track, for performers art's sake.
Despite being totally overlooked or rising miserable american reviews back then (1994), this is a great trio with fine interplay, interesting twists, swinging and melodic ideas I felt well aware of the piano stilings of Hampton Hawes, Sonny Clark, Tommy Flanagan. The Dutch rhythm section smokes!
"This outstanding disc has the mood and sound of a mainstream jazz release from the late '50s that has fallen through some cosmic wormhole into the present day." (Allaboutjazz)
Glad you liked it 2300skiddoo. I better suggest you to look also in great web shops for records such this, often out of print even in Europe. I looked for it in Holland too and later on found a perfect, really cheap copy on your @#£0n.com

Thanks. I saw Clark a few times in the Bay Area in the mid-70's but really had rarely thought of him since, except to occasionally wonder what became of him. But this is nice - yet another fine player gets overlooked, more's the pity. AllMusic has no bio but lists several Dutch records. I'll ask my Amsterdam friends if he spent time on the scene there. And I'll start looking for the records. Thanks, again!
