Reading Festival 2009 Sunday Night Mayhem

Having thrown every vacant tent, camping chair and more besides on the fire, the kids of yellow camp do what comes naturally - dance around it.

This was filmed on Y8. I got various footage across the 2 hours this fire burnt, but this one is my favourite :)

see i was in yellow but just by the tap so far enough away to feel safe but could see it all and to be honest the dick heads running past were all kids of there faces on a can or 2 of fosters i get that every one has a laugh at the these things and go a bit mad but burning other peoples stuff well thats not really funny big or clever you wouldnt have liked it if it was your stuff!

My understanding is that this fire was started because the people next to us didnt want to take their tents home. I didnt see or hear anybody protesting about having their stuff stolen/burnt, and I spent ~80% of the evening talking to strangers, I was within 20 meters of this fire for pretty much as long as it lasted.

I can understand why it makes some people anxious, a couple of my friends who hadn't seen this behaviour before were, but honestly, its pretty harmless now the aerosols have gone.
