Same as the ford driver above. Try to figure out why this would be useful.
I mean, really think about it.

You think like a Ford driver. If this works it will be one of the neatest inventions ever.
If you can't figure out why you would need this , then you don't it :)
-
you should pay attention to the road no excuses if you cant see the sign get off the fucking road
-
useless thing
-
if it is absolutely unnecessary, why is it used there and belongs to the security pack and MANY engineers and people evaluate this system as useful?

you're telling me the insignia recognizes EVERY single (gunshot, dirty, bent, faded out) speed limit sign out there while driving at 100mph? And if so: 1) How Necessary is that? You got eyes, right? 2) How much unnecessary weight and electrical systems does it add? (It's definitely just something to go wrong) 3) How much do you pay for that? It reminds me of some systems in german cars, the headlight wipers on some mercs eg: Unnecessary, extra weight, money down the drain...
-
that is working already in insignia. it's the same system just in different car so why shouldn't it work?
-
ok buy a Focus then.
-
lol that just isn't going to work
of course it doesn't catch every sign but a lot of them. how necessary? as necessary as other systems - blind spot warning, lane assist etc... There are many drivers who will appreciate these systems, that's why they're made. headlight wipers have been replaced by high preasure washers and thanks for that, I don't like driving with dirty lamps. If engineer ever had your point of view we'd be still driving model T. don't get me wrong...
