If Howard Hughes owned a Spartan I bet it would look just like this!!! Polished and immaculate!!! The airframe design is so typical of the smooth flowing 30's 40's genius aircraft designs. I bet you wish they made a chrome aircraft dope for the fabric surfaces. I can tell it is your absolute pride and joy!!!
@Sstantial - During WW2, Howard Hughes flew a Spartan Executive to various cities as part of the War Bond Campaign for the U.S. Government. However, it was a different airplane. This one was used by the RAF in Canada during the war. An excellent source of information about Spartan Executives can be found at an internet site called flytoanothertime.
I AM IN LOVE!!!!!! Man...what a beautiful piece! You want to talk about something that is worth keeping in such Mint condition. I don't even know you and this plane surely is'nt mine but I want to thank you for keeping such a beautiful bird in such superb condition. -Blaze- ''Or should I say Brovo..Lema..Alfa..Zulu..Echo''
