The pictures I took and a video montage I made of a tour of the Lesage pianos factory in 1987, before it closed its doors for good.
The end of an era, the last canadian piano manufacturer to end its operation.
This "slideshow" shows the many steps of piano making in a very old building.

  • Thanks drsegundus,

This song was also called Eternally, and it is from my old vinyl collection, Original Soundtracks from Famous Movie themes.

I love that sweet violin sound and the name Limelight or Eternally depicts well the souvenirs we keep from old pianos.

  • Thank you for posting; I enjoyed this very much. I took piano lessons for many years as a kid (I'm 47 now) and I've been wishing recently I hadn't given it up. I've been looking up old and antique pianos on YouTube and have been saddened to see too many videos of them being smashed, burned, dropped, or otherwise destroyed. It's refreshing to see something like this that shows the craftsmanship that went into making these beautiful instruments.

  • I enjoyed this and pine for the days when many people wanted pianos in their homes. I loved the music, what recording was the music from?
