Robin Young Suffers Health Effects From BP's Gulf Oil Disaster

Wherever disaster strikes, there's always an associated crud.

There was the Exxon Valdez Crud. The Nine Eleven Crud. The Katrina cough, and then the TVA coal ash cough.

Now, along the entire coast of the Gulf of Mexico, there is the BP Crud, afflicting workers and the general population from Louisiana to Florida.

When the Deepwater Horizon oil rig blew up in the Gulf of Mexico on April 20, Robin Young, a 47-year-old director of guest services for a property management company in Orange Beach, Alabama, was gearing up for what promised to be the best tourist season on the coast in years. From the city of New Orleans to the Florida panhandle, communities were finally starting to feel like they were recovering from the devastation left in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Ivan.

Since suffering a debilitating bought of what locals are calling the "BP Crud," however, like thousands of other people along the coast due to their exposure to the oil and chemical dispersants, she is now part of a growing community of activists along the coast.

Hello, I'm trying to rally my school behind this cause and am creating a short video that encompasses the situation of people affected by the oil spill and what we can do to support and help them. All true. I live 6 miles inland and have the contamination, too. It's in the Gulf, the air, the rain. My blood profile looks bad, too, pos+ for 6 of the 10 VOC chemicals tested for.

None of these chemicals belong in the human bloodstream. I've stayed away from the beach, not consumed seafood, did not participate in oil clean-up. The toxins are airborne, here.They continue to spray Corexit here to try and sink the oil that is again coming ashore (10 mos. later) and it is making everyone sick.

I tried so hard before even people were going to the beach, to warn people. COREXIT is a banned substance in UK, because it harms ALL living things. I said on Facebook, people DON"T go to the beach. The cleanup guys, they get F....d twice, cos their fishing grounds are messed up for several decade, then they get the call to help with the cleanup, and, of course, they need the money, so they get done TWICE !!! The company producing COREXIT is an affiliate of BP, so they sell it to themselves !!

I understand. I was harmed by a pharmaceutical product. It is not what you imagine is part of the game. But it is. I kept a day by day diary documenting how the drug had harmed me while being encouraged by the doctors to keep on taking it. I am alive because I decided, on advice of family, not to keep taking the drugs because they feared it would kill me. To the end the doctor urged me to keep taking it. It gets worse. It was an interferon product. I called it a journey to hell.

Thanks for the video...I live in Canada..so I am not there..but..I do understand very well that the toxins...from the oil and the dispersant..dont just go away as the Amerikan government seems to think people will believe.

It is appalling that so many people..STILL have no clue. Is ignorance truly that rampant?

It would seem the time for action from the American people..is needed NOW but for most..they will continue in their sheltered lives.

For anyone who may listen to this and read the comments...suggestions for generalized Detoxing the body from any harmful, toxic substances include:

drinking pure H2O, eating more vegetarian foods, high fiber diet, Pharmaceutical Food Grade Bentonite Clay, Marshmallow Root, Liquid chlorophyll, Charcoal powder or tablets, fresh juicing daily, lots of Superfoods Organic preferred, supplement with Flax Hull Lignans, probiotics, smaller intakes of animal proteins...they are hard to digest. TY~!
