9/11 Tapes Show Air Traffic Horror

Audio recordings, which reveal in real-time how US air traffic controllers and the military reacted to the September 11 terror attacks, have been released.


There was also a phone call from an air stewardess in one of the four hijacked planes who said a person had been stabbed in business class and the cockpit was "not answering their phone".

I'm commenting on the fact that FAA is showing that the VP was issuing commands on behalf of the Executive Branch, not Bush. It's a telling glimpse into organization of that Administration early in its first term.
