This is a video for my song "Labor Day." I wrote, performed and produced the song and did all filming and editing of the video clips. I shot the sequences, oddly enough, during the Memorial Day weekend - I didn't have time to wait until September for the correct holiday - at the Russian River in Northern California. The song has a quality of frivolity and innocence with an sinister undertone. It has been my intent to convey these feelings through the video, as well.
Lyrics:
Frank sank in the water
Happily, letting go of everything
Mother cried from the dormer
You just waved
As the river ran away
Green grass and ivy, too
Crumbling rocks
Missing moss like I miss you
Hold your nose
See how deep that river goes
Squishing pebbles
In between your toes.
Love it, Stephen!
