Movies Made in Blender 3D

I made these movies over the last 2 years using Blender 2.49. As you can see, they are fairly simple renders, but until I can get a better computer with a nicer graphics card, I will have to stick with the simple stuff. The Blender program is a fairly simple but well made 3D design program, you may not think so when you start using it, but it isn't as hard as it looks. The best part about the program though, is that its free!!! Check it out at, www.Blender.org Don't confuse which version of Blender I used with another if you do try to use the program. I used Blender version 2.49, but they have already come out with a newer Bata version of Blender 2.5, I just haven't had the time to figure it out yet.

plz how do you change colour of particles?

Well, I go into the color tab for that object, find and click on HALO. You can change the color of the points when in this form and it will make the HALO change color. Then if you want an explosion to be more then one color, you go into the texture tab and make a texture with the two colors you want. Hope you understood that. I've never given info on how to do something in Blender before. Side note to that, I make all the particle glows separate objects from the actual ships.

@didimoo1 I actually Switched to 2.61 myself when it was released. I've been using it and have a new model I've created with it (a customizable M4 Rifle) that I hope to make a move with soon. And its funny you mention blenderguru, I'm actually subscribed to get his email tutorials. He does extremely good work.

@dsnchalas Now blender 2.61 is out I think you can with the right tutorials (i reccomend blenderguru(dot)com. I'm twelve years now and already have switched to high poly meshes

@KilleroyCZ well you could also use node editing and play with the RGB curves

I've been using the program on and off since 2009 I believe. I must say these where my basic starting movies though. You should check out one of the more recent ones on my page. Shows how the average user like me can actually make cool movies with the program, as long as you put some time into understanding it. =)
