Jill Cadreau, a Peace Corps Response Volunteer of Chippewa heritage from Michigan, is currently serving in Liberia. She is part of the first group of Volunteers who re-entered Liberia after an 18 year absence to assist in the country's educational system.

Jill teaches English and math to midwifery students with the Liberian Ministry of Health. She previously served in Mozambique as an education Volunteer. The music featured in this piece was recorded in Liberia with Volunteer Edward Solem and a group of local musicians.

  • Thank you so much sweetheart for helping my country. We need all the help we can get to put our country back on track considering all the many years of wars and impact they've had on our nation. We need all of our friends and partners to join us in restoring this great land of liberty and lone star of Africa once more. And it's no joke that the US is needed more than ever before.
